He we are this year at Ethan's birthday party. We had a lot of OSU stuff around our house that day, so I tried to even it out with a little BYU spirit!!!
Height: 46.5 inches Weight: 50.5 lbs.
Shows: Between Lego Star Wars and Webkinz, movies have really taken a backseat in our house. He still loves Star Wars and High School Musical.
Color: Blue and red
Friends: Michael, Cameron, Collin, Bradey, Dallas, Ben, Lindsey, Luke, Mom, Dad
To Do: Play basketball, watch movies, go to church, play with friends, make baby sister laugh, tease Luke
Food: Ethan is a great eater, always has been. I don't know if it's because he is the first and so we were harder on him about eating his food or if it is just his personality. He almost NEVER complains about what we give him to eat. He sits down, eats ALL of his food and is ready to be off to his next task. We never have to bribe him to finish his food. He often eats seconds and occasionally thirds. The only thing I can think of that he doesn't like (at least of the stuff we've offered him) are olives.
His favorite foods are - PBJ sandwiches, all sandwiches, pancakes, cheeseburgers.
What we Love about Ethan: Ethan constantly amazes us with the things he is learning and his desire to learn new things every day. Ethan has been SO great to Luke this year, helping him get up and off to school everyday. Ethan sits by Luke on the bus and helps Luke when he cries. Ethan has gotten much kinder and sweeter to Linz also. He plays very cute with her and tries to include her most of the time. Ethan is a very well behaved kid at school and at church.
What Ethan has learned this year: Ethan has really taken off with his reading this last year. Ethan is a very SMART little boy and one of the best readers in his class. He is reading longer chapter books in school and amazes us with the books he checks out from the library to read. He has brought home several books about the Titanic and has loved learning about that ship. He loves to learn about different animals and has really gotten into the Webkinz world lately. Ethan has learned a lot about basketball and it is great to see his skills getting better over time. He is also learning what it means to stand up for what you believe and that there are many things that are not ok for us to do even though other kids (on the bus) do them. I hope that he will always stand up for what he believes in, especially as that gets harder and harder to do.
We are truly blessed to have Ethan as a part of our family and cherish the wonderful child and helper he is. I am SO excited to see how he blossoms into an even bigger helper when his baby brother is born. He will be old enough this time to really help with a baby, hold him, bring him to me, and hopefully change his diapers?!?!?!?! Ethan is our very easy going kid and always willing to do what we ask him to. He is always willing to try new things and picks up on things very quickly. We thank Heavenly Father every day for sending Ethan to us and pray that we can do our best to teach and guide him through his life. We sure LOVE you Ethan and we hope you had a great day.
Ethan with his gifts on his birthday.
My dad came down on Ethan's birthday (Martin Luther King Jr. day so no school.) That was a fun treat for us and it was fun for Ethan to spend some time with Grandpa ON his birthday.
We tried to take the kids roller skating (they are learning how in P.E. class) but they weren't open Monday night.I haven't gotten Ethan's 7 year pictures taken yet, so I will get those up as soon as I get them done. Hopefully before the baby's newborn pictures or I will have pictures coming out of my ears (not like I don't already.)
